How to change your limiting beliefs to influence better decisions and capabilities

We have beliefs about everything, about ourselves, our capabilities and success, the expectation we may have about our children, beliefs about people and whether we can trust them or not. We have beliefs about the current situation in the world, and what we believe will happen.
All these beliefs influence the decisions we make in our lives and the subsequent actions that we take produces our reality. What we perceive reality to be is a direct representation of what we believe to be true.
So much of what we believe we are not even conscious of, and because we perceive them to be the truth we have accepted them as such, however they are shaping and dictating our lives.
We tend to believe that these beliefs will disappear with time. On the contrary, if these beliefs are not changed they will generate those experiences that do not serve you.
We know that these limiting beliefs need to be cleared and new beliefs installed, but do you know how to do this effectively? Do you even know what your beliefs are? Are they your beliefs or someone else’s?
If you are experiencing limitation, struggle or hardship anywhere, in the area of relationships, money, your career, health, etc, you’ll find an un-serving belief there that needs to be cleared.
Because there were no English speaking schools in the country that my parents lived in I was sent at great expense to a boarding school for a better education before I was six years of age.
Although my siblings and I were well provided for, I collected a set of beliefs that said to get ahead one had to work hard, that money was hard to come by, that hardship and struggle was normal. What I experienced in these formative years shaped the core of my self image.
Most of these beliefs were held at a subconscious level and it wasn’t until I became aware of them that I consciously chose to change them.
I was fortunate enough to discover an amazing cutting edge step by step process to experience freedom from limitations, which I now teach. The EIP (Eliminating Interference Patterns) process will:
1. Identify the beliefs that are creating your reality in the area of finances, relationships, health, career, and spirituality.
2. Show you how to clear those beliefs that are not serving you.
3. Replace the old beliefs for new ones that will support your goals.
4. Permit the new beliefs to easily accomplish the goals in your life.
Your beliefs are the blueprints and the building blocks of your reality. Change them and you can change your world. The choice is yours.

What prevents you from having?

We’ve been told that in order to get something you must want it badly enough to have it. The word want implies that to want something means that we don’t have it. So let’s look at this by making a list of all the things that you want. Go ahead and do it right now.
Aren’t these the very things that you don’t have?
Wanting is a state of not having enough, or a state of lack. It’s the yearning, the clutching, the not having, the feeling of lack which are all vibrations that are being sent out telling the universe that you don’t have what you want. The Universe hears you and complies by sending you the “don’t have or the lack of” which now manifests in your life.
The language that we use to communicate with the universe is through our emotions. What are the emotions that you are associating with when you want something?
Here is the dictionary’s definition of what want means:
Poverty, destitution, craving, lack of, deficiency, the state of needing, something that is absent or unavailable, impoverishment, deprivation.
You can have anything that you want. You can have it all provided that you don’t come from a place of wanting or not having. Wanting is a vibration that says “I don’t have” and if that’s what you are resonating that is what you will attract to you. It’s your state of wanting that keeps you from not having.
Wanting is at the opposite end of the spectrum to having. Wanting and having have two different states of feeling that create completely opposite results.
A person who is wealthy doesn’t want money. He has the feeling that the money is his already, thus creating more money. A poor person wants money, which creates a lack of or no money.
You are not your thoughts. Your thoughts are reprocessed information. You are not your emotions- they are just reused energy. Thoughts and emotions are just vibrations and they are transitory. They can be released. In fact the thoughts and emotions that are not serving you need to be released for you to move from the state of lack into the state of having.
So how does one change from the feeling of wanting or lack to the feeling of having?
It’s by releasing or letting go of those emotions that cause you to have a feeling of clutching, shortage, holding on to, lack, not enough.
The first step is to know that you are already complete and that you are connected to source. When you realize this you will find that you need nothing because you already have everything within you. Then you can come from a place of having. Wanting is the opposite of having.
Because you have choice you are the one that makes the decision to choose if you want to be in the state of lack or the state of having.
When you become aware of a “feeling of lack or not enough” then allow those thoughts and feelings of wanting to come up and release them. Let them go. Allow them to leave and pass through. It’s as easy as that. Believe me it’s that simple.

Achieving your goals.

Setting goals is a powerful process to motivate you for what you want to achieve in your life. Goals help you to know where to focus your efforts, and writing down your goals is the first step to making it happen.
One of the reasons that people do not set goals is because they do not know the difference between a goal and a glimpse of what they would like to do.
A goal is something that you are committed to doing. It is written down, and you are willing to use your time, energy, money and all your resources to getting it done no matter what stands in your way. This means that you include a time frame for when you want to achieve it.
A glimpse on the other hand is something that you would like to do some day. It is not that important to you, or you aren’t that passionate about it, therefore there is no real commitment to forge ahead.
How intense is your desire? Are you passionate about your goals? Why do you want it?
We all have these glimpses about what we would like to do through out our lives; perhaps learn to play the violin, visit the Great Sphinx or the Taj Mahal, learn to sail, or to speak a foreign language. Because it is not a high priority we let go of the idea and are not willing to use the energy to do that right now.
One way of recognizing the difference between your goals and your glimpses is to make a list of all the things that you would like to do. Categorise them into your life’s purpose, passions, travel, service, fun. They can be as long as you like. Then separate them down into goals and glimpses.
Then ask yourself how intense is my desire? How badly do I want it? Can you visualize yourself achieving your goals? The greater the passion you have for it the easier it will be to take the necessary steps to achieving it especially when you face obstacles.
The trick is to intensify the passion by thinking and keeping your mind focused on your goals and the benefits that it brings to you, your family, your lifestyle or your business.
What are the critical steps that you need to take for this goal to become a reality?
Should you encounter hurdles that impede your progress don’t give up. Instead take a look at all the factors that are keeping you stuck. Be flexible and modify the action steps that you need to take to meet your present situation.
Lastly review your day by keeping track of what small step you took towards moving you in the direction of your goal. This will help to motivate you to move forward.
Every small step adds up. If you are closer to your goal this week than the week before you are doing incredibly well. Celebrate and acknowledge your success.

Clear your clutter
July 7, 2008 by Brenda Blindenbach

What is clutter? Clutter is stuff that that no longer brings you joy, inspiration, or benefit. Clutter is what you are not currently using, want or need. It is stuck energy that brings about physical, mental, emotional and spiritual results.
At one time it wasn’t clutter, in fact you probably had great fun shopping for the things that you now have, or the gifts that were given to you. Now the stuff is taking too much room in your life.
Physical clutter is also an indication that there may be a feeling of overwhelm that is taking place in your mind and emotions, and weighing you down. Here are some steps to get your stuck energy circulating and get you back on track
Go through your home and remove, throw or donate any useless, unnecessary or unwanted items. If there are any objects that cause some negative emotions because of the past, you may want to consider parting with those items.
We suggest that you put a large box in the center of the room to discard, and another box where you want to give away the items. Begin with one drawer or cupboard at a time and work on that before moving to on to a whole room.
Going through the paper clutter requires more time and thought. Put things in categories like receipts and statements, paid bills; articles and magazines, stationary and office supplies, which will help you to sort each category separately.
There will never be an end to clutter, because you will always have mail coming to you, you will be buying things and receiving gifts. The good news is to have a relationship with your physical environment and decide what is important and necessary for you to keep, so that when you bring something new into your life there is a place for it. One way of maintaining this with ease is to let go of something that now is not crucial in your life before bringing in something new.
Physical clearing does several things:
1. It shows you the chaos or the clarity of your thoughts.
2. It helps you to detach mentally and physically.
3. It creates the space to allow new energy to come into your life.
Removing physical clutter has more to do with shifting the energy within you than from your environment. Everything that is taking place in our outer reality is an indication of what is happening in your inner self. Putting your external home in order allows corresponding changes to take place in your internal realm, freeing up the space for the energy of new possibilities and miracles to enter into your life.
When your mind is on overload, overwhelm becomes a chronic problem. Letting go of mental clutter gives you peace of mind enabling you to use your creative ability to design your life on purpose.
An easy way to keep your mind free of mental clutter is writing down your thoughts on paper. I get a great sense of fulfillement crossing off the jobs that I have accomplished from my to do list .
Emotional Clutter.
We have many wounds and memories from the past that have caused us to feel disappointed, rejected, let down, angry and frustrated. When these unhealed memories and wounds are not attended to, they fester. We may think that if we just suppress our emotions and not deal with them that they will leave us alone, but they don’t. If our wounds are not healed, they will affect our emotions, actions and behaviors. Ignoring them is like putting them into a pressure cooker. When the pressure gets to be too much, it is released often by inappropriate behavior.
Our feelings are the best indicator of our emotional well being. Holding on to feelings of resentment, jealousy, blame, and anger is detrimental to our physical health and wellbeing. Are you aware of what you are feeling when your buttons are being pushed? How do you deal with those emotions? Do you suppress them by putting on a sweet smile, complaining or blowing up?
You need to understand that it’s OK for you to feel what you are feeling, regardless of how strong the emotions may be, but they need to be processed.
Do not judge your thoughts or feelings. They are neither good nor bad. They just are. Your judgment of them is what makes them good or bad.
Acknowledge and take ownership of the feelings that are not serving you because they are part of you. They are a signal to let you know that all is not well and that you need to deal with the root cause of what you are experiencing.

How to attract….what you want
June 23, 2008 by Brenda Blindenbach
Learning how to attract what you want or create anything begins by first identifying what you truly want and having a big enough reason for why you want it. You have probably heard the saying “what you focus on grows.” Have you ever wondered why that is so?
Having a basic understanding about Quantum Physics will give us the answer to the above question and how to attract whatever it is that you desire. Before anything becomes a reality in this physical realm it first exists in the realm of pure potentiality.
We know from Einstein’s incredible discovery in 1925 which is well known today as E= MC2 (Energy = matter x’s the speed of light squared) in simple term means that energy and matter are interchangeable. Energy can be formed into matter and matter can be turned into energy.
Einstein believed tht this energy was in the form of particles and had the appearance of being solid. He was only partly correct. The brilliant quantum physicist Neils Bohr and a Nobel Prize winner in 1922 challenged this theory. He claimed that these sub atomic particles weren’t particles but consisted of waves.
Energy begins as a wave and as it is observed it is transmuted into a particle and joins other particles that resonate with its frequency. This is known as the Observer Effect, which states that an observer is required to interact with an object in order for events to occur.
These subatomic particles (waves) that were being studied by scientists responded to, transmuted and appeared as particles (solid objects) based on the individual thoughts of the scientist who was studying it.
Your thoughts which are energy are determined by your beliefs. They are broadcast into the field as “wave energy”. They are transformed from wave energy to particles (matter) as you give attention to these thoughts. They then join together with other energies that vibrate at the same frequency and that brings about the experiences that you will encounter in your life or physical world.
How to attract what you want becomes simple when you understand this principle. When you focus, observe, or put your attention consistently on what you want, that dream or desire that you have which is in the form of a wave frequency is now transformed into a particle and will eventually become your physical reality.
This is why when you focus on lack, scarcity, ill health the very same process will occur and bring into being what you give your attention to, because this is what you are expecting. However when you focus on abundance which is only potential right now, this wave frequency will shift and collapse into particles which will manifest what you want in your life.
The source of all your success or failure can be traced back directly to the consistency and the quality of your thoughts. Only you can change your thoughts, that is why you must look within yourself and make a change in the way that you think if you do not like your current reality.
You are where you are right now as a result of the sum total of all your thoughts to this point in your life. But this can be changed by changing your thoughts. Choose the thoughts that will bring about the results that you want.
By keeping the object of what you want in front of you at all times will cause you to take the necessary actions to achieve your goal.

Developing Clarity and Focus
December 29, 2007 by Brenda Blindenbach

Have you ever thought about certain people like Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, and other great men and women and wondered what made them so successful? The one thing that all these successful people had in common was having clarity in their objectives and values. They knew who they were, what was important to them, and what they valued. There was no question about them procrastinating because they were passionate and excited about their goals and dreams.
When you are clear about what it is that you want, and you are committed to achieving it, nothing and no one will be able to stop you. The thing that most people fail in is in this area -the lack of clarity and focus.
Finding clarity in your life leads to power. So the next thing in getting clarity is finding what your five core values are. Your core values can help you make difficult decisions and help you find common ground with someone you disagree with. Core values are different for everyone. For me it is having freedom in my personal, financial and political life -freedom of speech and self expression, love of family, integrity, authenticity, and generosity. The important thing is to integrate these values into your life.
Know what your top 3 goals are. Write down your goals, your plans and ideas and keep track of your results. Take steps however small every day in some way towards your goal. Begin by taking the first step and then the next step. Martin Luther King Jr. said it this way “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
Start or join a Mastermind Group of 2 or more like minded people. Masterminding is based on the ancient principle that states: when two or more people coordinate in a spirit of harmony and help each other work toward a definite or purpose they absorb and magnify each other’s creative power and results.
They raise the bar by challenging each other to help implement goals, and they support one another with respect, honesty and compassion. They give you feed back by asking questions like “what worked,” “what didn’t , “and what next.”? You will gain great insights for both your personal and business growth by brainstorming for new possibilities. ” One plus one doesn’t equal two. It becomes the power of eleven.” Mark Victor Hansen.
Make a list of the people you would like to have on your team and then contact them. Start with people you know.
Affirmations
January 28, 2007 by Brenda Blindenbach
The philosopher Descartes is known for his famous statement “I think, therefore I am.” However, if we believe this then we are deluding ourselves, because we are not our minds. The mind is a wonderful and powerful instrument if we use it properly, but it can become destructive if it is misused. It is a tool, and is designed to be our servant rather than our master.
Thoughts are continuously rambling on in our minds. In fact it is very difficult to cease this incessant inner chatter. Those of us who are in the habit of meditating will attest to the fact that to quiet the mind is very challenging. Most of our thoughts perpetuate the old self defeating programming and beliefs that keep repeating themselves habitually. As stated before, thoughts are sending out vibrations that attract to us anything else that is resonates at that vibration.
One effective way to change these disempowering thoughts is to replace them with positive thoughts called affirmations. Using affirmations is a very powerful technique that can help us to elevate our vibrations, which in turn draws to us those things that we desire.
However, just like any other discipline, affirmations must be practised regularly to work –in fact using them needs to become an ingrained habit.
What is an affirmation?
To affirm means “to make firm.” Accordingly, an affirmation is a strong, positive declaration that something already is true. Affirmations can be spoken aloud, said silently, sung or chanted or even written down.
Here are some guidelines for using affirmations:
An affirmation is a positive statement. It is necessary to declare what is desired rather than what is not wanted. Thus rather than “I don’t want to get into debt, or “I am not fat” it is important to express positive statements such as “My body weighs the right weight,” or “I am debt free.”
An affirmation is always in the present, not the future. It must be in the now. Saying “I am wealthy now,” is an effective affirmation. “I will be wealthy,” which indicates that this will happen sometime in the future, is ineffective
since the future by definition never comes.
It is important to understand that to make a desired condition in the present tense is not the same as telling a lie.
Everything is first created in the inner realm before it manifests
in the outer reality.
An affirmation is always personal. An affirmation that feels right or works for one person may not work for another. An affirmation should evoke a feeling of resonance and expansion in your being.
Techniques for using Affirmations.
It is commonly said that “the eyes are the windows of the soul.” The eyes are like a mirror, reflecting back whatever is presented to the mirror.
Here are some affirmation techniques using the eyes that can be used, alone or with another person.
While standing alone in front of a mirror, we can look into our own eyes
while saying and affirmations and feeling the affirmations being reflected back at us as we witness our soul confirming what we are saying.
With sitting across from another person, we can take turns saying the affirmations aloud while looking into each other’s eyes.
An example of this would be as follows:
Susan says: “Mary, you are loved.”
Mary replies: “Yes, I know I am loved.”
This can be continued for a period of fifteen or twenty minutes before changing partners.
Affirmations may be declared silently or aloud all through the day –in the shower, in the car, doing chores in the house or at work.
Two excellent times to do affirmations are after meditation, just before dropping off to sleep, and just after awakening.
Why Affirmations may not work
I have had several people tell me that affirmations do not work for them. For a long time, I used to wonder why. After careful reflection, I have discovered some of the reasons.
One is that sometimes we do not believe that what we are saying is true. For instance we may be saying “I am cherished” and at the same time we hear another inner voice rejecting the affirmation saying “Yeah right!” or “You’re kidding yourself aren’t you,” or even “that’s a lie.” Of course when such constant negative chatter is contradicting the affirmation, its energy and focus are dissipated and its vibration reduced.
Here is a way to reduce this negative self-talk, and thus use affirmations more effectively. Instead of saying “I am cherished, we can say “Sally is cherished.” In this way that part of the mind which is having a problem with accepting it in the first person can now accept the idea that someone else is saying this about us.
As a second stage we can change the affirmation to the second person by saying “Sally you are cherished.” Finally when this form of statement is accepted we can return to the first person, once again saying “I am cherished.”
In essence this is the process:
The third person is declaring to the Universe that this is so.
The second person represents to the Universe declaring the affirmation back to the speaker.
We are declaring it to ourselves.
Another reason for affirmations not working is that we may be doing them by rote. We need to affirm with strong emotions. Affirmations work in the same way as creative visualization requiring us to focus our senses on the desires and goals that we want to achieve.
It is important that our thoughts and feelings and what we are affirming are all brought into alignment. On the other hand, if we declare an affirmation at the start of the day and then think negatively, this neutralises the effects of the affirmation.
Affirmations are powerful because we are declaring what we desire and want to create in our lives. This helps us to disregard the prevalent circumstances we are facing and focus on a different result.
The words “I am” are very powerful. We must carefully choose which words to attach after the “I am” because they are directly connected to with our state of being. This is the essence of who we are. Rather than saying “I am sick, or unhappy, or sad, we need to change the sentence to a positive statement such as “I feel well and happy.”
Are you ready for an action step?
Go ahead and declare who you are with feeling. Who you are is your internal state. This is who you are at your core. What would you like to experience? Joy, happiness, wealth? This is already who you are. You are not trying to be it. You are it. So say it. Be it.
Are you ready for practicing affirmations?

The EIP Workshop (Eliminating Interference Patterns)
December 30, 2006 by Brenda Blindenbach

DNA of HEALING
Most of you know that I teach several courses which give people the tools to remove the blocks or the hindering beliefs that are in our subconscious mind or the DNA. 90% of these unsupportive beliefs are held in our subconscious mind and only 10% in our conscious mind. As a result we can only address the thoughts and beliefs that we are conscious of or in our conscious mind.
How many of us have wondered why after making a commitment to go in a particular direction ended up veering off in the complete opposite direction knowing full well that it would be to our detriment? Our subconscious mind calls the shots, having majority rule -90% versus 10%.
Regardless of what the conscious mind says, in the long run if the belief system says differently to what the conscious mind says, the subconscious mind will veto it.
Can anything be done to change this system? And if so how?
A major belief system has changed in the last six years. Through the mapping of the genome science has discovered that the DNA is not a fixed code, this was the belief for hundreds of years,) but a variable code that can be changed at will. Science also discovered how to alter a gene, and how to change a gene energetically.
The first step in changing a gene is the energetic activation of the two strand physical DNA to a twelve strand etheric DNA.
The second step is to remove all the obstructions that we have put in our DNA so that we can fully access these twelve stands.
The EIP (Eliminating Interference Patterns) process is a powerful tool which gives us a road map to see what beliefs are being held in the DNA which is stopping us from manifesting our dreams, health, abundance, healthy relationships etc. When these beliefs are removed the path is cleared for the creation of our dreams.
The purpose in doing this process is to bring to the surface (from the subconscious mind to the conscious mind) those beliefs that we are not aware of, that are hidden, sometimes very deep in the subconscious mind. It is only when we are made aware of them can they be addressed. The first step to change is awareness.
The next EIP 2 day workshop will be held on Jan 31& Feb1 2009.(up dated workshop dates) Set your intention NOW to participate in this powerful workshop.
