Do you suffer from the pangs of loneliness and feel that nobody understands you? Do you feel isolated? Are you grieving the loss of a loved one or nursing a broken heart?
The 4th Energy Center or the Heart Center sits in the middle of the seven chakras and is located in the center of your chest, over the sternum. The heart chakra is a place of balance and harmony, and influences your experience with love, self acceptance, touch, compassion, devotion and forgiveness.
Having dealt with the personal issues relating to survival at the root chakra, self knowledge at the sacral chakra and personal power at the solar plexus chakra, it is now time to move from embodiment to enlightenment.
Embodiment is to embrace the personal attributes of the first three chakras so that they become a part of your life. Enlightenment is a spiritual journey where we learn to walk in compassion and unconditional love. These two attributes especially are the qualities that are associated with the heart chakra.
You may not realize that there are conditions attached to love. You expect that in romantic love the person that you love returns your love. Parental love also has expectations of their children. Unconditional love on the other hand gives love to any and everyone without the thought of return. When the heart chakra is fully opened, it becomes the channel for Universal Love.
Touch is a quality that is associated with the heart chakra, and although we touch with our hands we reach out from our heart and also receive from our heart. When the energy in the heart chakra is blocked we either find it difficult to give love or receive it. There needs to be a balance of both giving and receiving love.
When the heart chakra is unbalanced, the very core of us undergoes pain and suffering. Our breathing is low, and our mind and body feels separated.
Here are some ways to bring your heart chakra into balance:
• Release the energy of the emotions that you are experiencing as they surface up, by using some release techniques.
• Green and pink are the colors of the heart chakra.
• Gems stones: Ruby, Rose Quartz, Emerald, Green Jade, Kunzite
• Essential oils: Rose, Bergamot and the less well known Inula, Melissa and Jasmine.
• Bergamot opens the heart chakra and helps the love energy to radiate out.
• Inula is a delicate pale green color, brings moral courage and assists those who are afraid to acknowledge their own highest gifts and exercise them to the fullest extent.
• Melissa is valuable where there is an energy block between the Solar Plexus and the heart.
• Jasmine warms the heart chakra through its connection to both the sacral and brow chakras as a point of balance between the upper and lower chakra.
Place your hand on your heart as you repeat these statements
• I am safe to give and receive love
• I am safe feeling my feelings
• I acknowledge my own loveliness
• I am willing to love everything about myself
• I am loved
Are you willing to listen to the nudging of your heart and the small still voice? What is it saying to you?

Do you find yourself always giving in to others even though you would like to be assertive? Are you anxious about your feelings of being powerless, being alone, confused or worrying about what others think?
The 3rd energy center or your Solar Plexus Chakra is found below the sternum/breast bone and above the navel. Digestion is the main function of the solar plexus chakra. These are some of the physical aliment associated with this chakra – digestive problems, food allergies, diabetes, gallstones, ulcers, liver complaints.
Psychologically the Solar Plexus is responsible for digesting emotions. Anger usually hides pain, and as a result hides the inner power within you. This powerful energy is held prisoner when the emotions are suppressed, which must be released if you are to want to utilize and connect to the inner power of the Solar Plexus to achieve your goals.
Old stagnant emotions create a great deal of inner conflict if they are not released. They cause a lot of confusion that is discharged if you do not deal and resolve the encounters or events that take place in your life.
The Solar Plexus defines your self esteem and is all about your power and identity. The energy of your third chakra was developing around the age of 5 and you needed to know how unique you were. You had to learn that you had power and that you could use that power by asserting yourself when you needed to be heard.
If your parents did not assure you by reminding you that you were powerful, that you could do whatever you set your heart on, that you were given wonderful gifts and talents to fulfill your purpose here on earth then your third chakra would be underdeveloped. If this was the case in your life it is never late for you to validate yourself.
This is the last of the personal chakras, and from this chakra we move to the heart chakra which is the first of the universal chakras making this chakra an important place of transition.
Here are some ways to bring your Solar Plexus chakra into balance:
• Release the energy of the emotions that you are experiencing as they surface up, by using some release techniques.
• Yellow is the color that is associated with this chakra so use some yellow to balance it.
• Essential oils: Rosemary, Juniper, Geranium, Peppermint, black pepper, Ginger
• Gems: Citrine, tiger eye, topaz
• Place your hand on your 3rd chakra just above your belly button and below your sternum while repeating these statements:
I choose to release all my fears and struggles that have to do with power and
struggle.
I fully step into my power now.
It is safe for me to be powerful.
I am using my power to better my life and all of mankind.
Write in the comment section below and mention one step you will take to take back your power and be the unique and powerful person that you are.

Do you have a hard time making decisions? Do you use food or other addictive tendencies as a way to cope with life? Are you taken for granted? Do you love and respect yourself?
When balanced energy flows in the Sacral Chakra you feel good about yourself and can have a positive self image.
The Second Energy center – The Sacral Chakra relates to your sexual desire and energy, pleasure and nurturance, your emotional states and functions, and your ability to create. It is located about 2 inches below your belly button.
This chakra governs the whole pelvic region, and is responsible for the ebb and flow of your emotions and feelings. This center is a moon center with water as its dominant element. Just as the energy of the moon creates a magnetic pull on the sea, so too does it affect the waters that flow within you.
The genitals, womb, ovaries, testes, bladder and kidneys are all water related body parts which are affected by your emotions. Notice the queasiness in your belly when you feel nervous or anxious, or running often to the toilet because your bladder fills up, or crying when you feel emotional.
E- motions are simply energy in motion or movements of energy that we describe as fear, pain, anger, and pleasure. The sacral chakra being the center of emotion expresses what we feel. It is also the center of self knowledge where you come to know and love the very essence of who you are.
Are you comfortable spending time to be alone with yourself? If you don’t want to spend time with yourself, why would anyone else want to spend time with you? Do you matter to yourself? Do you put yourself last?
Creativity originates from this center. You are creative in your own unique way and your creativity can be brought forth through the arts, your talents, passion and gifts. “I can” is the statement that characterises you when your sacral chakra is in balance.
Here are some ways to bring your sacral chakra into balance:
1. Release the energy of the emotions that you are experiencing as they surface up, by using some release techniques.
2. The colour orange helps to bring back increased feelings of well being motivation and inner joy. Use purple to restore balance to an overworked sacral chakra.
3. Meditation on the sacral chakra can help you connect deeply with the essence of who you really are.
4. Essential oils of Clary sage, jasmine, rose, Ylang- Ylang, sandalwood.
5. Gems: Carnelian, amber, orange calcite.
While repeating the statements, rotate your hand on the sacral chakra in a clockwise direction to anchor in these truths.
I am worthy of love
I am deserving of all of life’s blessings.
I am enough.
What I have is enough.
Who I am and what I do is enough.
I am good enough to have what I want.
I trust the process of life
I am open to my creativity and sexuality
What action step/s will you take to bring your sacral chakra into balance?

Are you on survival mode using all of your energy just to keep you alive? Do you have enough money to pay the rent? Have you enough food on the table? Are you happy with your job?
What comes to mind when you look at an oak tree? That it is magnificent? It got to be so because it’s root system was strong and intact, going deep into the earth to give it nourishment, support and strength. If on the other hand the tree’s roots were damaged the growth would be stunted.
Material and monetary issues are the domain of the root chakra, and if as a child your root chakra was damaged or wounded you will continue to deal with first chakra issues until they are resolved at the cellular level. How can you devote yourself to having abundance, creativity and fulfillment when you are on survival mode?
The First Energy center - Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and it is what grounds you to the earth. Energy flows from the earth into your feet, up through your legs into this chakra where it is processed into a more suitable energy for your body.
Your Root Chakra holds the energy that influences the dynamics of birth issues, survival patterns, generational patterns, money, food and health issues, grounding, and what keeps you from belonging.
The root chakra also controls the adrenal glands, and when they are over stimulated they can lead to feelings of anxiety, and fear. These emotions are energy and they all carry a vibration which can be released very easily. Allowing them to be released is the best way to bring your base chakra into balance.
When you are grounded you know that:
You have a leg to stand on
You can stand on our own two feet
You can put our backs into it
You are willing to stand up for what you believe in
You are not afraid to stand up to people.
Here are some ways to bring your root chakra into balance.
1. Release the energy of the emotions that you are experiencing as they surface up, by using some release techniques.
2. Walk barefoot on the floor, grass or on the beach
3. Work in the garden. Get your hand in the soil
4. Wear the color red
5. Use grounding essential oils like vetiver, ginger, sandalwood, and patchouli by adding to your bath, or in a diffuser.
6. Gems: Red jasper, garnet, smoky quartz, obsidian, ruby, black star sapphire, red jade, all help to ground you.
Place your fist on your first Chakra, which is your groin area. Rotating your fist in a clockwise direction will energize the following truths held in your First Chakra:
I belong because I exist.
It is my blueprint to be wealthy and free
I am clear of all energy related to my birth
I am free of generational beliefs that hold me down
Which step/s are you going to take to bring your root chakra into balance?

Did you know that there is a life force energy that energizes all living creatures and connects us to one another, and to the world of living and non-living matter?
It has been referred to by the Japanese as ki, the Chinese call it chi, scientists have named it the unified field, the Hindus use the word prana, and Christians call it the Holy Spirit.
This life force occurs at a subatomic level at such an infinitesimal minute level that it is just energy. We are all connected through this field of boundless energy which is the cornerstone for everything in this universe because everything is energy.
Our human energy system also known as chakras can be regarded as a way for our mind and body to be cognizant of this life force. Energy flows through us from this source in the same way as it does in streams, rivers, rain, nature, and everything else.
There are major points within our endocrine system which correspond perfectly with the location of our chakras or seven energy system. These centers of energy interact with and control specific emotional, physical, and psychological functions. Understanding how your energy system works will help you to address the imbalances within it to heal physical, emotional, and spiritual issues.
The First Energy Centre (Base Chakra) is the root of this subtle human energy system, and regulates everything to do with security, stability, grounding and sensuality. It is located at the very base of your spine, directly between your genitals and anus.
The Second Energy Center (Sacral Chakra) has to do with your creativity, sensitivity, and your emotional states and functions. It is customarily affiliated with sexual desire and energy. It is located between your pubic bone and navel.
The Third Energy Center (Solar Plexus) is all about your power and identity. It is located above your belly-button and just below your sternum.
The Fourth Energy Center (Heart Chakra) relates to circulation, love, compassion, devotion, and touch.
This point is located in the center of your chest, over the sternum.
The Fifth Energy Center (Throat Chakra) relates to your inner and outer voice, communication which helps you express your true self in a manner that will attract support and encouragement for your truth. It is located at the bottom of your throat.
The Sixth Energy Center (Third Eye Chakra) deals with your psychic power, intuition and clarity. It is found above and between the eyes in the center of your brow.
The Seventh Energy Center (Crown Chakra) influences your connection to Spirit, divinity, belief systems, revelation and pure consciousness. It is found at the very top and center of the head.
Each of these centers has a mission to support us in knowing and expressing our true identity. Has this peeked your interest? Then set an intention to learn more about your energy system enabling you to clear and manage your energy, to raise your vibrational frequency, and be more whole.
What action step are you going to take to shift that vibration that is not serving you?
